About QSS
The History
QSS started life as a business providing paving solutions to home owners throughout Bedfordshire and the Home Counties. Our reputation for excellence in service grew and before long we had clients throughout the UK in both residential and commercial arenas.
After incorporating a new sales team and management structure, QSS has evolved into the market leader in surface solutions, supplied and applied.
The key to our growth has been:
- Our ability to manage projects end-to-end, taking pride and responsibility in our materials and their application
- Our understanding of the job and its requirements from the clients perspective
- We are the sole provider of the Q range of products
We continue to search for new and innovative surface solutions for interior and exterior applications. Recent additions include biocides, epoxies and other surface dressings.
Our Products
Qseal and it’s derivatives started life branded as ACM Pavseel*. This revolutionary urethane-based formulation was developed by John Emery BA(Hons), MICE, FIHT as a solution to repair and protect block paving at Luton Airport.
Following this successful application the formulation has been used globally at such facilities as Euro Disney, the Channel Tunnel and the Port of Singapore.
- In fact, this product has been successfully applied to over 12 million m² of paving surfaces worldwide.
Over 200 petrol forecourts throughout the UK have been protected with our product, including market leaders such as Shell, Esso, Texaco, Sainsbury's and Tesco.
The original ACM Pavseel branding was changed by QSS to QSandbond but now we have several derivative products by application:
- Qset – Stabilises paving joints for 5 years plus and that’s guaranteed.
- Qstone – Impregnates and protects natural materials such as stone.
- Qseal – Protects paving surfaces and reduces maintenance costs.
Not only does this formulation offer tremendous safety benefits but has now proved critical in urban environments. It transforms pedestrian surfaces, greatly improving resistance to graffiti, chewing gum and general surface staining. Various papers in our Technical Library provide evidence of how our products and services perform.
*Please note: The product currently being marketed elsewhere as ACM Pavseel is in fact a water-based sealant unsuitable for many applications. See the technical paper on urethane vs water-based and acrylic. ^
