Qseal – Protects paving surfaces & reduces clean up costs

Qseal was until Autumn 2009 branded as QSandbond. It was however originally branded as ACM Pavseel and is still remains true to the original formulation which was created by John Emery (our world renowned retained technical consultant) primarily as a product to protect surface applications in arduous operating conditions such as airports.

The past 20 years have however seen it applied in a variety of locations and circumstances and its benefits and capabilities are both broad based and remarkable depending on the application methodology employed.

It is a fully proven high performance liquid pre polymer moisture curing polyurethane material which once applied and cured impregnates the surface of the paving/cladding to a depth of 2-3mm.

QSS have used the product for over 5 years and it remains the definitive solution to:

• Surface staining.
• Chewing gum adherence and ease of removal in that it is proved to cut adherence levels by 60% and reduce associated cleaning time by at least 50%.
• Surface porosity (whilst retaining breathability). This translates into better surface appearance at lowest cost.
• Joint degradation which if left can destroy the integrity of the surface.
• Weed growth is suppressed – for best results use in conjunction with Qcide –see below.

It barely impacts on the surface colouring and is relatively easy to apply to both new or renovated and cleaned surfaces so as to provide definitive levels of protection for at least 5 years - guaranteed.

Qset – Stabilises paving joints for 5 years + and that's guaranteed

Qset has replaced Qsandbond2. It is another derivative of the proven original ACM Pavseel formulation created by John Emery (our world renowned retained technical consultant) for use in the most extreme circumstances to obviate any risk of joint deterioration thereby maximising operational safety and substrate integrity.

It is a fully tested moisture curing polyurethane material which bonds joints and surfaces so as to avoid the risk of any joint deterioration for up to 5 years guaranteed. It allows moisture to pass through the jointing compound but binds the compound granules together.

Typical uses are in airside locations, high density vehicle movement centres, container terminals and wherever dry jointing is employed.

Qcide – Use to keep moss, lichen and algae at bay on all construction surfaces

Qcide is an intelligent, biodegradable maintenance treatment. It’s a non bleaching, antacid compound of biocides and slow release detergents.

The biocides prevent the build up of moss, algae and lichen which afflicts all forms of paving installed in north facing, low footfall areas. Moisture stimulates the release of the detergents to keep the surface cleaner.

Typically, each treatment will last for 6 months and is highly cost effective, given its positive impact on cleaning requirements.

It is easy to apply and if combined with Qseal delivers exceptional surfaces for longer!

Qstone – Impregnates and protects natural materials such as stone

Qstone is an impregnation treatment derived from the original and longevity proven ACM Pavseel. It is flexed both in terms of it formulation and the usage techniques employed so as to meet the requirements of stone and other related natural materials. In addition, it also works well when pre-treatment of either natural or manufactured hardscape products is the preferred option.

Qstone is a moisture curing polymer based material that is highly absorbent when applied to appropriate surfaces. Rather than being a coating it is an impregnation that is taken into to the surface of the material on which it is being used to create a long term resistance to abuse and enhance surface performance:

• Abrasion in service via wear and tear and deliberate scratching in that unlike coatings surface damage will NOT result in the protective layer becoming compromised.
• Surface porosity a key feature of some products is maintained.
• Chewing gum resistance is maximised with spotting reduced by some 60%.
• Maintenance/cleaning costs are reduced by typically 50%.
• The likelihood of staining is much reduced and in many cases obviated.
• If combined with Qcide application the presentation of the surface employed is maximised at lowest cost to the client.

Qstone can be applied retrospectively or as a pre-treatment so as to provide these additional benefits:

• The surface is protected from construction related accidental abuse.
• The protection process is removed from the construction site thereby avoiding additional complexity and potential delays.
• Pre-treated materials can be buffer stocked off site for ‘just in time’ release to the project at hand so as to optimise construction efficiency levels. Weather delays can be largely avoided.
