Surface Material Pre-treatment

The conventional way to treat paved and cladded surfaces so as to protect them from operational damage is to prepare and impregnate them once construction is completed.

This approach undoubtedly works but it does have a number of drawbacks including:

  • The vulnerable surface can be inadvertently damaged in situ during the construction phase due to other workers failing to recognise the value of the asset.
  • The protection provided to the surface is more expensive to accomplish as treatment productivity is lower than that possible via pre-treatment.
  • The treatment time required can exacerbate any construction related delays.

QSS have worked with the New Swindon Project and its primary material supplier Forest Pennant Stone to develop a highly efficient pre-treatment process that ensures no construction schedule delays and produce enhanced levels of protection whilst avoiding potential weather related impacts and delays. See full case study for details.

This process has been thoroughly tested and can be applied to a variety of both natural and concrete/clay based materials so as to deliver exceptional levels of construction efficiency – guaranteed!

We believe this to be a breakthrough for the industry and QSS.
